Location & Travel

Location: Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center is located at 660 Highway 50 Zephyr Cove, NV 89448. We will stay in the Tahoe & Tallac Centers which offer spacious hotel-style rooms and stunning views of Lake Tahoe.

Travel: If you drive in, please try to carpool as onsite parking is limited (look for a link to our Ride Share App in your registration confirmation email to either offer or request a ride). If you fly in, consider the Reno, NV airport which is only an hour away. Budget airlines like Southwest can be affordable, especially if you book early. You can also book a roundtrip seat on the South Tahoe Transporter from Reno Airport to Lakeside Inn, just 5 minutes from Zephyr Point. From there you can call Uber or Lyft. Speaker & Topic

Speaker: Rev. Greg Lubbers pastors Covenant United Reformed Church in Byron Center, MI and teaches Bible at Zion Christian High School. He is a frequent speaker for youth, young adult, and marriage conferences. He is a graduate of Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, MI. He and his wife Jeni have five children.

Topic: “Salt of the Earth: A Christian Worldview” based on Matthew 5:13-16. Forty years ago Francis A. Schaeffer asked, “How should we then live”? Every generation has to seek the answer to that most basic question. Relying upon the revelation of the Bible and the illumination of the Spirit, we will seek to discover and formulate the basic truths of a distinctly Christian worldview.

After each session, we will gather in smaller groups to discuss session highlights and pray together. On Sunday, Rev. Lubbers will lead morning and afternoon worship services overseen by Trinity URC. Throughout the weekend, we will have many opportunities to enjoy Christian fellowship as we take in the scenery, play games, tour the area, and much more.

Cost: Price includes 3 nights lodging with provided linens and towels, 7 delicious meals, gym use, snacks and drinks, and various administrative costs.

  • Early Registration (Jun 4 - Aug 31) costs $325 per person, or $300 for singles willing to share a queen size bed ($25 discount).

  • Regular Registration (Sep 1 - Nov 6) costs $355 per person, or $330 for singles willing to share a queen size bed ($25 discount).

Details: Registration closes on November 6, 2019 or when we reach capacity (about 200), whichever comes first. Registration must be completed online (below), and payment can be made online or by check.

Mailing a Check: Please make checks payable to 'Trinity URC' with 'WCRF Retreat' on the memo line and mail them to the address below. Registration is complete when we receive payment. To avoid a $50 late fee, please postmark your envelope by November 6.

Cancellation Policy: Should you need to cancel, you will receive a full refund minus a nonrefundable $50 administration fee up to the close of registration on November 6, 2019. Please note: refunds are are not possible after November 6, 2019 per the terms of our contract with Zephyr Point. This includes cancellations due to weather, illness, change of mind, or any other extenuating circumstance.

Registration Options

Please select one of the two options below:

  • Option 1: Single Adults who wish to share a queen size bed with a friend and receive a $25 discount, please REGISTER HERE. You will room with 3 or 4 other singles.

  • Option 2: Single Adults who wish to have their own bed, and Married Couples, please REGISTER HERE. Single Adults: you will share a room with 1 other single. Married Couples: you must register separately. Also, because this event is for adults, we are unable to accommodate children (including infants).
